Clogs.... fancy getting married in these?
Fancy getting married in these???? Aiyo.... so "mafan".
As you know, a visit to the clog factory is a must when one visits Amsterdam. So here it is. The next few posts will show colourful photos of the experience. BTW, the windmills were all around the area. So was the cheese factory. The only thing was that it was windy and raining. Most of the umbrellas we brought from the hotel were all returned spoilt!!
General George Patton
Me with General George Patton. His name would be familiar if we had all paid attention during history classes in secondary school. I know it rang a bell, when the local guide for Luxumbourg brought us to this American memorial just at Luxumbourg.
Apparently, the General had survived the world war. However, he died in a car accident. His wish was to be buried with his men. So they buried him here in Luxumbourg with his men.
Luxumbourg is a small country on its own, next to the Netherlands and all. It was a very nice day for us.

In Bruges, my favourite city on the trip
We drove like almost 2 hours to this city. Bruges. A UNESCO protected area. Meaning, the place is virtually untouched. No construction and breaking down of buildings. Just beautiful. Here are some pics.
St. John's Hospital
Me from a view across the bridge when we first walked over from being dropped off.
A postcard??? No it exists!
Brussels tour
The gals.
My favourite photo. All were taken on the tour of Brussels on the second day. We did a walking tour of Brussels. It was cold, but I had three layers this time and I just had to buy the leather gloves. However, it seems my ears were going beetroot red that I was teased about them.
The guys. With Sonny (tour manager, extreme left) and Patrick (local guide and french casonova)
Brussels..... not sprouts
Well, I finally am trying to find some time to blog about the trip I went for in November 2005.
My company flew into Amsterdam at around 6 ish in the morning and were transferred by coach to Brussels. On the way, we saw the sunrise. We were told that we were lucky to have good weather as it is usually rainy.
I kinda love the cold but I did not expect it to be that cold. During a toilet/coffee break on the way to Brussels, Belgium, we were told the temperature was -3 degrees celcius. I guess wearing a long sleeve shirt and a leather jacket was just not enough. Well, I piled it on for the rest of the trip!
We got into Brussels in the afternoon, had lunch and checked into the Sheraton. We had the whole afternoon off for shopping before meeting the rest for dinner.
