From a friend..... food for thought
Who God Uses
God, grant me the Serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the Courage to change the one I can, and the Wisdom to know it's me.
No more excuses now. God can use you to your full potential. Besides you aren't the message, you are just the messenger.
1. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
2. Dear God, I have a problem, it's me.
3. Growing old is inevitable, growing UP is optional.
4. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.
5. Silence is often misinterpreted but never misquoted.
6. Do the math. .. count your blessings.
7. Faith is the ability to not panic.
8. Laugh every day, it's like inner jogging.
9. If you worry, you didn't pray. If you pray, don't worry.
10. As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home everyday.
11. Blessed are the flexible for t hey shall not be bent out of shape.
12. The most important things in your house are the people.
13. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knot.
14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.
16. How you spend your time is more important than how you spend your money. Money mistakes can be corrected, but time is gone forever.
Share this with a friend or two. In the Circle of God's love, God's waiting to use your full potential.
The next time you feel like GOD can't use you, just remember...
Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
John the Baptist ate bugs
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer
...AND Lazarus was dead!
For me the messages I got out of this were many, but here are the key points relevant to me at least at this point in time:
Pray everyday..... it's like calling home! And if we are worrying, we are not praying enough!!
We need faith....... then we dun panic when facing difficulties
I am only a messenger
LAUGH!!!

Scared... Frightened.... etc.
Got an email from S today. She was a little worried about our little one. She admitted she was paranoid about the health of our new one. I guess I am a little too. We just want a healthy baby! And I guess we have not been very consistent with our prayers to God. And we made up our mind to pray more often. Not that we are running to God in times of need, I hate doing that.... but I guess we just have to be more consistent and thankful.

At Bunker Bay, Perth, Australia
Perth was great. We thought it might be very cold, but it was great, coming from hot and humid Singapore. Weather was mighty fine!
We should have stayed longer right???? Maybe next time!
A doberman - Dogs have feelings?
Subject: Sweet story
He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing by carrying her out of the house into the front yard, while he continued to fight the fire.
She is pregnant.
The firefighter was afraid of her at first, because he had never been around a Doberman before.
When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.
A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, "The Observer," noticed this red Doberman in the distance looking at the fireman.
He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do.
As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies, and kissed him, just as the photographer snapped this photograph.
